Our Philanthropy
Alpha Chi Omega's philanthropy nationwide is Domestic Violence Awareness. Here at the Alpha Gamma chapter, we promote our philanthropy by voting on a local domestic violence shelter to assist each semester. Throughout the year we host several events to spread awareness and raise money for our chosen shelter.

Omega Man
Our first philanthropy event of the school year occurs during October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In this event, men from several different chartered organizations on UNM's campus show off their talents and answer questions about DVA in order to win the coveted title of Omega Man!
Healthy Relationships Week
In the week leading up to Valentine's Day, our sisters set up tables around UNM's campus to spread awareness about Domestic Violence. We teach the community about DVA and allow them to share what healthy love means to them with our "Love Is..." stickers!

Spring Tea
Spring Tea is an event we hold in mid April to raise money for our chosen shelter. It is a catered event where tea and hors d'oeuvres are served while guests peruse our silent auction and bid on items such as Alpha Chi Omega merchandise, tea sets, and other donated goodies!
Denim and Donuts
Our final philanthropy event of the school year is Denim and Donuts. Held on the last Wednesday of April, this event exists to celebrate and spread awareness of Denim Day. Our sisters set up a table outside where we sell donuts and wear denim to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault.
